ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVERBecca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?
I adore Jill Shalvis and her Lucky Harbor series! These books are one of the highlights of my late summer (early summer is Susan Mallery and her Fool’s Gold books, late summer is Jill Shalvis and Lucky Harbor!)
It’s In His Kiss starts with a set of best friends, most importantly our hero Sam, who run a deep-sea charter company — let me tell you! I am so excited for this set of three books! These guys are hilarious, and hot! It’s a great combination! And Sam is one of my favorite Romance heroes in a long time!
Becca was one of those characters that I loved, despite not relating very well too her. I think the lack of relatiability is because her story took so long to flesh out, and the hints were not the greatest. But that’s my only minor complaint about this book!
Along with our leads, we have the rest of Lucky Harbor’s residents filling up the pages! Especially, the beloved Lucille! Our favorite senior resident of Lucky Harbor has apparently been kicked off facebook and moved onto Pinterest! (I’ve got one of my favorite quotes from her below!)
Jill Shalvis has a writing style that I absolutely adore. Her books are funny, her characters are realistic and her settings are easy to escape into. Her books can keep me entertained for hours, and leave me with a huge book hangover!
