Series: The Secret Life of Trystan Scott #4

After Mari's attempt to help Trystan goes horribly wrong they are both forced to deal with the consequences.
After the ending of Riptide, I could not wait to start Shattered, and it definitely started off with a bang! The beginning was really intense and had my heart in my throat as I was reading. Unfortunately, that was the best part.
After these events, both Trystan and Mari are all messed up, and Trystan tries to push Mari away, believing he’s not good enough for her. This really bugs me in books (movies/television/etc). I can’t stand when both people care for each other, but one tries to push the other away for “his/her own good”. So frustrating!
Mari’s parents were as frustrating as ever in this book. Seriously, both of them are just such jerks that I wanted to reach through the pages and punch them both. And Brie is back to her old tricks. Ugh!
The ending didn’t come as a huge surprise, but I was interested to see how it would pan out.
