There are some relationships that destroy your faith in people. They make you jaded and hard, irrevocably changing you forever. I wish I could say that I hate her, I wish I could walk away and never look back, but I can't... I have to save her.
The woman who stole my heart and crushed it in her hand disappeared from my life 3 years ago. So when I see her at a bachelor party, half naked, rolling around on the floor with another stripper, I'm shocked. I have to know what cracked Cassie Hale's picture perfect world that landed her in this hellhole, and I hope that I'm not so bitter that I can't help her escape.
After finishing the Trystan Scott series, I was very anxious to get back to The Arrangement series, but I had some more books that I had to read before I could get there. Stripped was the first of those. I was a little hesitant at first because I really just wanted more Sean and Avery, but I figured it would be good.
I was a little thrown at first. Stripped starts off some time after the end of Damaged 2, and after two chapters, it jumps back in time by three years. I had a harder time getting into this part, but once it jumped back to the future, I was completely invested and had to see what would happen next.
I definitely see some similarities between a lot of the characters in Holly’s books, but they’re still enjoyable. I had a feeling something was going to happen, but it hasn’t come up yet. I don’t know for sure that it won’t in the sequel, though, but I’m hoping it doesn’t.
I was actually surprised by the ending. Usually there’s a major cliffhanger in Holly’s books, and there wasn’t a huge one here. I’m still looking forward to see what will happen next, though!
