The final book in the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series by H.M. Ward
I’m going to preface this review by saying that I had a certain event spoiled for me by a post in a Facebook group. The poster had the circumstances wrong (bad memory?), but the actual event was still spoiled. With that being said, however, it didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the book.
I think that this is my favorite installment in the Proposition serial. Though there was one aspect that I wasn’t completely happy with how it was resolved, it was resolved in a surprising way!
There was a lot in this book that I wasn’t expecting! The ending itself was a big surprise. My one main complaint was that it was worded a little confusingly, so I wasn’t even completely sure what happened until it was explained a couple sentences later. I don’t know whether this was intentional, but I wasn’t really a fan.
I don’t consider this a spoiler, but I’ll put it in spoiler code, just in case:View Spoiler »There’s an epilogue at the end, and I’m not really sure how I feel about it. It felt a little too predictable and contrived. I don’t know; it was interesting, just not what I expected. « Hide Spoiler
Overall, I have very few complaints. I read the whole thing in one sitting and couldn’t even put it down to sleep! I definitely enjoyed this one!
