This revolutionary CLICK LIT® novel was conceived from the get-go as an ever-expanding, multi-platform entertainment experience. Created, written, and designed by Hillary Carlip, and co-created, directed, and produced by Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated TV comedy writer/producer/director Maxine Lapiduss, Find Me I’m Yours is a game changer in the way that stories are told and experienced.
Find Me I’m Yours was a book like none I’ve ever read before. The completely innovative style of this book made me want to love it, but unfortunately? That wasn’t the case. I absolutely adored the interactive aspects of this book, I loved the mystery. I loved the idea of this book. But there were some major flaws that had me struggle with.
Mags, Maggie, Whatever you want to call her this page, drove me absolutely insane. Her abbreviated speaking, her fixating on all the negative and most of all – her slut-shaming of her roommate, was a total turn off for me. I just couldn’t stand these things, and if the interactive portions of this hadn’t been so awesome? I would have put this book down early on. (Hey – I got it from Netgalley for an honest review, so I’ve got to give you the ugly honest truth.)
But the interactive aspect of this? Huge kudos to the author/creative team/etc behind this totally innovative book. You’ve got to read this one on a Kindle or tablet with color internet capabilities! The best part is the videos of Mr. WTF!! That was so amazing, to be able to actually “talk” to the leading guy in this book!
All in all? I’d give this one 3.5 stars, it was a fun read, but there were some serious hang ups for me.
