I am a total sucker for holiday romance novellas!! So when I saw that two of my favorite authors had novellas, I couldn’t wait to read them! (And a huge thank you to Netgalley for letting me read and review these books!)
Her Holiday Man is such a sweet story! Christina was the unsuspecting victim of a Ponzi Scheme, put on by her ex husband which left her not only financially broke, but without any resemblance to who she has always been. She finds work in a small Northeastern town and is rebuilding her life when she meets Will. Will has his own ghosts to fight, his late wife and unborn daughter were killed in an accident.
I love stories where both of the characters are fighting their chemistry for very logical, real reasons. Both of these leads are incredibly strong characters, and there’s never a moment where you think “Ugh! She’s too good for him!” like seems to be the case all to often lately.
Full of Shannon Stacey’s authentic charm? You can’t help but fall in love with these characters and their small town romance! You’re cheering for them from page one, and not wanting this one to come to an end! (Although this little story is well laid out, and the characters are fully developed!
As always? I LOVE Shannon Stacey, and cannot recommend her amazingly sweet stories enough!
I’ve been looking forward to Bailey and Kenny’s story for awhile! This romance is absolutely no surprise to fans of the Fool’s Gold series, as the two have been hinted at in at least two of the previous three books! But the lack of surprise doesn’t make their story any less sweet!
Kenny is the last of the three hunky football players at SCORE, and the one we know the least about! (And oh my goodness, is his story heartbreaking! But I LOVE HIM!!!) And he fights his attraction to Bailey, the widowed single mom, for good reasons.
Their story is sweet, it’s one of friendship and fighting their attraction for very valid reasons! (And anytime you throw a young kid into the mix, even in a romance novel, you proceed with caution!) But this story is the perfect read to curl up with a blanket and some ho cocoa! It’s a great holiday visit to Fool’s Gold!
