Every once in awhile I am in the mood for a fun, flirty, coming of age YA type romance – so when I saw Paper or Plastic (and it’s adorable cover) on Netgalley? I knew it was what I was looking for!!
This book is so ridiculously cute. Alexis is one of the “it” girls at her school. Noah is as far removed from her scene as possible. Yet somehow? Their chemistry is awesome! But what I always love about contemporary YA’s? When they can be realistic. And being thrown together at work on summer vacation? Well, it doesn’t get more real than that! (It took me back to my high school days when I was crushing on boys at work!!)
These two are from such different worlds, but they work together so well! Vivi Barnes did a great job of building these characters and their world! (And her secondary characters are beyond phenomenal!! I love Ruthie and the rest of the SmartMart crew!) I loved being lost in this story for the weekend!
If you’re looking for a fun, flirty YA? This is the perfect contemporary romance for you!
