Tyler and Lavender are back as Lavender teams up with her BFFs to get a ring. The problem is that only ring Tyler plans on putting on his finger or anyone else's is a Super Bowl ring.
Jami Davenport is my current go-to for feel good reads, so when she asked me to read Roughing the Passer for feedback and a review? I jumped all over it! I knew this would be the final book in her beloved Lumberjacks series, but was excited for it none the less! And she definitely went out with a bang!
The second book in this fantastic series, Forward Passes, is Tyler and Lavender’s story. Tyler is such a jerk in the first book, Fourth and Goal, that I was initially hesitant to even read his story. But like Lavender, I fell in love with him. And we’ve watched through the rest of the series as he struggled to really commit to her! So I was proud of her at the start of this book for sticking to her guns. She knew he wasn’t going to marry her, and she wanted marriage and kids. So no matter how much she loved Tyler? She was going to have to move on.
Oh boy, this story is so cute!! And it has the perfect ending to this series – all the previous characters in one place (Tyler’s mansion in the San Juan’s) and giving us a nice little package with a pretty bow to wrap it up! And as per usual, I had moments where I laughed, swooned and wanted to punch Tyler in the face. I couldn’t have asked for anything more to wrap up this fantastic series!
If you’re looking for a great binge read? I strongly recommend Jami Davenport’s Seattle Lumberjack series!
