I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
A decision that will change her life forever.
After the loss of her husband, Gracelynn Calhoun has struggled with her life and career. Forced to take a four week vacation or be fired from her job, she surprises everyone including herself and agrees to the vacation.
The owner of Antonetti Suites, Giovanni works hard and doesn’t have time for relationships or love. That is until he literally crashes into Gracelynn. She brings back all the feelings he thought he would never feel again.
With the odds stacked against them in every way possible, will they forge ahead together or will this be the end of the road for their newfound love? Will the whispers from above bring them together or will misunderstandings ruin what could be an amazing second chance at love?
Confession time!! A while back I went a bit nuts on Netgalley requesting books. Then I went through a reading slump (combined with the death of my beloved Kindle, ordering a new one and accidentally sending it to my parents 600 miles away!) and totally forgot about a few books I’d requested. Unfortunately, Granted Wishes is one of those books that fell through the cracks. But this past weekend I was on a book kick and I found this one back on my Kindle.
I am so sad it took me so long to get to Granted Wishes because it’s such an awesome read!
My heart broke for Gracelynn and Gio over and over again. I can’t imagine losing the love of my life. I can’t imagine having to pick up those pieces. (And for even approaching that subject? I give Tanya Vought HUGE props! Because she did it well!)
There were a few twists and turns that I really didn’t expect in this one! (As a romance junkie? Those surprises are always nice!)
For me, this book hit the spot because the secondary characters played a huge role, there were emotional attachments that I can’t even begin to explain, and some intriguing paranormal elements! If you’re into that kind of thing? This book is definitely for you!
